The Rosetti Bass 9. Yet another re-write, I'm afraid. That makes about the 19th time I've changed it. But, it has to be just right. The lyrics sheet is now about as worn out and raddled by abuse as the Rosetti Bass in the title!

Obsession. A song about love, obsession and murder. It started with a kiss and ended with a grave hastily dug on the beach in the dead of night. All the characters in this song are purely fictitious, honestly! It is not auto-biographical in any way.
(Words and music by Brian Gill.)
Performed by Brian Gill... I mean the song, not the murder. There was no murder anyway, she's still here...you can speak to her if you want...she's not actually here at the moment, she's outside cleaning my car...I'll see if I can call her...Dear...! Could you come in for a second and let these people see you're still ok? Er...dear? Hello..?

Top Girl
(The Cymbaline's second single from 1966. Has anybody got the record? I know it sold one copy, so I reckon someone's got it - they're probably not owning up to it!)
Words and music by Phil Chesterton & Brian Gill.
Won't Somebody Help Me?

If I Had A Dog
(Performed by Brian Gill - I wanted to get my daughter to record this song. She wrote it with my Mum many years ago, but she's 6000 miles away in England, so I don't think it's ever going to happen somehow.)

Valhalla
(Performed by Brian Gill - The more I listen to this version, the worse it gets. It was done in 1973 and I've since re-written it and it's miles better now, but here's how it started. Nah..forget it, I've taken it off; this version is horrible!)

My songs from the Symbols era
Cappuccino Coffee - original 1973 version and the actual first tape recording ever made of this song.
(The first and only time I ever played this song 'live' was at a Symbol's gig in 1973. I can't imagine how I came to do the song on my own with just my Gibson SG. John Milton, the Symbol's singer liked it - at least he grunted, which I took to be approval.)

Here is another version of Cappuccino Coffee with more instruments, done sometime later in 1973 on my Revox of course..
