Hi Ian, yes mate, it certainly is. I've put Timekeeper, Space Shanty and Same Girl on as well. I think we were a better band than we gave ourselves credit for at the time. Don't you think so?

I would like to see that photo.I had hair then! Paul folowed me to a band called the emeralds. We played the usual 60s covers, johnny kidd, the hunters storm cos charlie the lead had a D'Armond foot pedal ( it broke at least twice a song!) and Stones blues things. Long live the 12 bar in E. We then joined up with Neil Warnock as a manager. He wanted to play in a band but wasn't good enough. He is now mega in management. We played the Blues/ Yardbirds circuit for a few years. Eel pie Island the 100 Club and Welsh harp were regular venues for us. We were on the edge of going pro full time but musical friction within led to the band now known as Creed to break up. We all had women in tow and wedding bells started ringing. The last i heard of Paul was in about 1975. he married a girl Brenda and went off to sunnier shores doing diving or something like that. Can you ask Phil to contact me I'd love to hear from him again.

Hi Terry, thanks for the visit; long time no see. Do you know what happened to Paul Jarvis? I'm still in touch with Phil; in fact we've just re-formed Infinity after 39 years! He's still got an old Buccaneer's photo on his wall, with the dreaded Lucky 7 centre stage...

Just read your historical notes. Thank you for remembering the Bucaneers. St Winifreds was unique. What hapy times we had on wednesdays. My Rosetti Lucky 7 bass was lucky for me!

Jeff Morris! As I live and breath; hello mate, how are you? What are you doing these days? Still playing the bass and singing I hope. I don't suppose you fancy coming to Thailand Jeff? I really need a good bass player who can sing...

Great Scott! Brian Young! Hello Brian, how ru? Yes,I remember those days and in the 'Comments' section of the site, I've printed part the chapter set in 1964, at the time I met you, Brillo, Bernie and Stu Calver and The Crossfires. You have a paragraph, so this is why I'm telling you this!!! Glad to hear you're still alive and I hope still playing. I had a beer with Rod Harrison a couple of months back, who played guitar with Pete Bender, Bernie, Pete Dunton and Jurgen the keyboard player; he had recently been in touch with Pete Bender. Keep in touch...

Just read thru' some of yr comments.
ROD.....I played in Pete Benders Band also as a bass player. Went over with a guy Brian Newman, known as Brillo, a drummer.Sadly he is no longer with us..Had a case nicked en route with my Marshall bloody valves in and Portabello Rd Coldstream Guards Jacket et al!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And my other clothes but that was not so much a loss so much as the other gear. I shall have to dedicate a page of what I did over there at some point. Do you hear from Pete? Brian Gill was a good influence for me in those days as I was a really shy type of guy. He gave loadsa tips that I'd never heard of. Over to Brian Gill...........Be nice to hear from you now after all these years

Hi Brian.
Tracked you at last nice to see you're ok and in the land of living. I don't play anymore but still have a guitar or three and a fender twin '70's era to play about with. Good site you have. It'd be nice to hear from you. Do you keep in touch with bern jinks? I do at times. Get back to me at briayoung@aol.com
Enjoy.
Take it easy
Brian Young. The violin bass went years ago!!!!

Andy. Great bass; really great bass! No offence mate; I know I took the Michael out of the Rosetti Bass 9, but it's only a song! The end for my one inevitably came though...I think I burnt it! Thanks for looking at the site and for writing..ED.

Hello Brian,

I'm the author of the Syd Barrett biography 'Lost in the Woods'. I'm attempting to contact members of The Flies for a few questions regarding UFO, Pink Floyd and the 14 Hour Technicolor Dream. Not clear if you were in Infinity or the Flies or both, both excellent bands either way. A contact at the BBC sent me footage of The Flies at the Dream, performing 'Purple Haze' along with the Vestal Virgins, riveting stuff.

Well you have achieved far more than me with your web site so I decided maybe I oughta get my finger out! Got the pic of the Zundapp and I will be settling down with a couple of beers and my layout pad to see what I can come up with! Don't put too much on site pertaining to the plot because it automatically becomes common property! If Von Biddly can manouvre time itself via warping through several galaxies then Armageddon can be delayed and you get to spend another thousand years on the beach thinking up more stories!By the way I got my Marshall amp at freedmans- but you forgot to mention the rosetti Lucky seven!(a beautiful white single cutaway-that used to cut away half of your fingers! If you want details of Russian interiors like Smolny in St Petersburg, or the odd Luxury datcha hidden away near Moscow outside the golden ring I can probably help, especially while Ja Gavaritzh Russki chut chut i dastartichnia! Dobra notche tavaritch i manoga vodkas!Remember clockwork orange and the grudies- and "Horror show?" A little known fact was that some well connected robbers stopped by my mates house in Canning Town with a Luton van full of musical kit- they lifted up the back and it was crammed full with every instrument that Rosetti could manufacture! My mate said, "The shop made more on insurance than the robbers could ever turn over on that little lot!"

Throughout my life Brian you never stop giving me pleasure and now having looked through your site. I didn't realise you were in the Fingers I used to go and watch them when I was in my youth in Southend. I thought they were fantastic. So inspired by your Thailand adventure it's something I have been toying with for many years. I don't want to give up the Ferrari's even if I drive a Lexus these days. I am working even harder these days since starting my own business. I love your relationship stories it very much of myself being married twice nearly 3 times and a string of beauties over the years. I have added you to to my favourites which is a huge privledge next to Amazon.
Keep up the good work!!!

Have just spent the last 2 hours glued to your rants and memories, most of it bringing a smile to my face. I even laughed out loud when I once again read ''triple somersault and in the fridge please milkman'' - Best, John.
p.s. feel free to publish the words to 'Venetian Glass', I can't remember them and I never really rated the song (or the singer for that matter)

Attending Nomads' gigs was the highlight of much of my youth when I lived in Ilford. Ilford Baths, The Cauliflower, Ready, Steady, Win and the Royal Albert Hall (yes, it's true) to name but a few. What are they doing now?
